Rose fashionably late as always

Yusssss, she has arrived! It took all day but Rose has arrived. Am so happy, there was a point mid afternoon where I started to think of worse case scenario and at what point I would just go out and buy everything new and just get going. Luckily it didn't come to that though!

So besides the delay Rose arrived in a well looked after condition. I did umm and arh a lot before starting about what would be the best way to send her over for this trip, and my research suggested that a cardboard box would suffice as more often than not baggage handlers treat a fragile cardboard box with more respect than full on bike bags (and what would I do with a bike bag once I got here anyway?). I can attest that it worked a treat.

Putting her back together was a breeze, and have now also made sure I am good to go for tomorrow with my Garmin ready to navigate me to Austria, bags all but packed, and just raring to go!

Not that Erding has been bad, in fact it is quite nice here with a lot of old building and cobled streets and the like. Today I went for multiple walks in between coming back to the hotel to check if Rose had arrived yet or not - actually legs are a bit sore now as they aren't used to walking so much....oooops. Erding has also offered me pretzel, schnitzel and spaetzle so all but a bratwurst off my list of German must eats....a goal for tomorrow I guess.

Anyway, must sleep now, big day tomorrow as the adventure finally starts!
