It is all about being as light as possible though while still having some creature comforts for along the way. I have also worked on the assumption that I will never be too far away from a bike shop, accommodation or food source - so light touring, not ultralight touring this time.
Also went on one last soaking wet bunch ride with Bikelab this morning for the hearty few who turned up (or is that the stupid few?). A nice wee ride in the rain to wake you up on a Saturday morning never goes astray.
Hopefully soon enough the winter weather will be behind me and the rides will be filled with windless, dry and cool days in the saddle - dreams are free right?
1 day to go - go for it!
ReplyDeleteWhen you get back Andy, you'll have to tell me how you managed to take that shot while in the saddle. Saturday's Medium Group must be too slow, combined with your silky smooth, high cadence, for you to take such a great, weathered shot of the Sprayfest, Group Of Seven effort, where we averaged 28.9km/h over 72.8km. Safe travels, and puncture free cycling.
